Honey Varieties and when they come off the hives
Here's a rough idea for you as to when we get honey off the hives - this can vary based on weather, etc. Also different varieties of honey will crystallize at different rates and this can also vary every year. We will post on the "raw" honey pages if the honey is crystallized.
Honey extraction times:
Orange Blossom - May
Tupelo - May
Locust honey - end of May
Clover - July
Bamboo - later in Summer
Buckwheat - typically Fall - but can be planted throughout the year
Wildflower - Fall
Goldenrod - Fall
