    Raw Locust Honey

Honey on the left is clover honey - bottle on the right is locust honey
This shows you how light locust honey is since clover honey is a lighter honey.

Locust honey has a light and mild taste that is very pleasing, nearly water white in color.  We only get this honey every few years as the weather really determines this for us in Ohio.

Our locust honey will be raw which means it will not been heated at all and simply extracted and placed directly into either 1 pound or 2.5 pound containers.  It will be a little bit cloudy from the beeswax and pollen in the jar.

We have a very limited supply and will only be selling these in 1 pound and 2.5 pound containers.  Locust honey is a unique honey in that the locust tree bloom is such a short time period and your hives really need to be strong in the Spring to be able to bring in all the nectar from the blooms to make enough honey.

Not sure what honey to purchase - visit our Honey Description Page to help you in your decision.  See the latest research on honey.
